„Ich kauf nichts fehl.“- Interview mit Toni Stautz

Leider hat Tonis Partnerin Leonie Welsch das Turnier auf Grund von Nackenproblemen und im Hinblick auf Timmendorf frühzeitig verlassen müssen, deshalb gibt es heute das erste, aber deshalb nicht weniger interessante, Interview mit nur einer einzelnen Spielerin und einer von neun, die vom Anfang bis zum Ende die Beachliga bestritten hat.

Was wolltest du früher werden?

So einen spezifischen Berufswunsch hatte ich gar nicht, aber dadurch, dass meine Mama und meine Oma beide Lehrer waren, war das das, wo ich dachte: Ich wird später bestimmt mal Lehrerin. Ob das jetzt mein Traumberuf ist, weiß ich nicht.

Wurdest du schon mal erkannt?

Ja, dadurch, dass ich in Potsdam ja in der Halle spiele und der Verein auch relativ populär in der Stadt ist, passiert mir das schon ab und zu, dass ich in der Stadt mal erkannt werde und mal ne Unterschrift geben muss.

Lieber Stadt- oder Strandturnier?

Von der Atmosphäre, also was da immer aufgebaut wird, find ich Stadt schon cool, aber Beachvolleyball gehört halt irgendwo an den Strand und deshalb sind die Strandturniere schon was besonderes. Also eher Strandturniere.

Was ist deine Lieblingssportart außer Volleyball?

Tennis. Ich hab früher Tennis gespielt und musste mich dann entscheiden, ob ich den Schwerpunkt mehr auf Tennis oder auf Volleyball lege und hab mich dann für Volleyball entschieden, gucke aber noch sehr gerne Tennis und spiel es auch ab und zu mal.

Warum fiel dann die Wahl auf Volleyball?

Weil es ne Mannschaftssportart ist und beim Tennis ist man halt wirklich alleine auf dem Feld. Ich hatte in der Jugend schon Spiele, die dreieinhalb Stunden gedauert haben und du musst dich halt dreieinhalb Stunden mit dir selbst beschäftigen. Es ist einfach lustiger in einer Mannschaft und macht auch mehr Spaß. Und ich hab mein Talent dann doch eher im Volleyball gesehen.

Lieber Sieg im Tie Break oder totale Dominanz?

Fürs Gefühl gewinn ich lieber deutlich, aber es steckt mehr dahinter, wenn man im Tie Break gewinnt. Wenn ich es mir aussuchen könnte, würde ich lieber deutlich gewinnen, weil das auch nicht so nervenaufreiben ist.

Was war dein letzter Fehlkauf?

Ich kauf nichts fehl (lacht). Kann ich wirklich nicht sagen. Bei Klamotten, zum Beispiel, überleg ich  schon dreimal, ob ichs wirklich nehme und es muss mir schon zu 100% gefallen, sonst nehm ich es gar nicht erst. Und Techniksachen kauf ich mir auch nicht so häufig. Es wird wahrscheinlich irgendein Kleid gewesen sein, was ich gekauft und gesagt hab: diesen Sommer zieh ich unbedingt mal ein Kleid an und habs dann doch nie getragen. Das ist dann aber schon ein bisschen her. Also einen richtigen Fehlkauf hab ich nicht.

Hast du ein Motto oder ein Ziel, das dich vorantreibt?

Man sollte nie aufgeben. Gerade bei mir war es so:  Ich hab nicht den klassischen Leistungssportweg gemacht, dass ich früh auf ein Sportgymnasium bin, in irgendeinem Nationalkader war und dann in die erste Liga gekommen bin, sondern ich hab mir das alles selbst erarbeitet. Ich wollte unbedingt in die erste Liga und haben dann bei mir zu Hause zweite Liga gespielt. Bin dann teilweise über 45 Minuten ins Training gefahren, um woanders zweite Liga zu spielen und hab immer diesen Willen gehabt, dass ich unbedingt in die erste Liga möchte und dafür auch alles machen würde und auch alles andere unterordnen würde. Und deswegen ist auch mein persönliches Motto – auch wenn es total langweilig klingt –  nie aufgeben und immer für das kämpfen, was man wirklich erreichen möchte. Bei mir hat es letztendlich geklappt und man sollte sich auch nie aufgeben, weil man mal kurz zurück geworfen wurde, sondern immer Vollgas geben.

Hast du ein Ritual vor jedem Spiel?

So ein richtiges Ritual hab ich nicht. Das einzige ist, dass ich darauf achte welche Schuhe ich anziehe. Ich hab mehrere Paar Schuhe und ich zieh eins immer so lange an bis wir verlieren, dann muss ich wechseln. Als Mannschaft hören wir in der Kabine immer Musik.

Was bringt dich dazu gegen den Pfosten zu treten?

Fehlentscheidungen vom Schiedsrichter. Ein Schiedsrichter kann auch nicht alles sehen, aber wenn er im Spiel keinen roten Faden hat und wild pfeift, bringt mich das auf die Palme. Und, wenn der Gegner unsportlich ist.

Wie reagierst du auf „schlechte“ Schiedsrichter?

Leider nicht so gut. Die machen das ja nicht mit Absicht, aber gerade in entscheidenden Situationen ärgert es einen schon. Wenn es deutliche Fehlentscheidungen sind, kann ich dann auch nicht ruhig bleiben. Ich versuch dann- ich bin ja auch Kapitän in der Halle – zu sagen: Okay, kein Stress, nächster Ball. Aber selber kocht es auch in mir.

Was war dein bisher prägendster Moment im Beachvolleyball und in der Halle?

Im Beachvolleyball war es ganz klar die Teilnahme in Timmendorf letztes Jahr mit meiner alten Partnerin, weil wir die ganze Saison dafür gekämpft haben und es sich im letzten Turnier entschieden hat und wir es auch nicht mehr in der eigenen Hand hatten, sondern ein Spiel gucken und hoffen mussten, dass die richtigen verlieren. Das war schon sehr prägend. In der Halle hab ich in Erfurt das erste Jahr erste Liga gespielt und hab mich dann selbst gekümmert, ob ich zu einem anderen Verein kann. Dann hatte Potsdam mich angeschrieben und als ich dann nach Potsdam gewechselt bin habe ich mir auch gedacht: Du musst dich gar nicht so schlecht machen. Es gibt anscheinend auch Vereine weiter oben in der Tabelle, die dich haben wollen. Und das war ein Moment für mich, wo ich mir dachte: Okay, du kannst das und du bist auch gut genug für die erste Liga und sei mal ein bisschen selbstbewusster.

Wenn man hoffen muss, dass der richtige verliert, feuert man dann auch an oder sitzt man still daneben?

Meine Partnerin saß auf der Tribüne und hat sich das Spiel angeguckt. Ich hab das auch am Anfang gemacht und bin dann gegangen. Ich konnte das nicht mit angucken. Ich saß an einem ruhigen Ort und habe nur gehofft. Zum Anfeuern mögen wir uns dann alle zu gerne und ich hätte es den anderen beide auch gegönnt, aber natürlich wollte ich unbedingt nach Timmendorf.

Was war deine bisher schlimmste Verletzung?

Noch gar keine. Also noch keine schwerwiegende. Ich hatte mal eine Quadrizepssehnenansatzentzündung, da hab ich ne Spritze bekommen und musste eine Woche aussetzen. Ich hatte auch mal nen Bänderriss, aber ich glaub das gehört zum Volleyball einfach dazu.

Wie kriegst du den ganzen Sand aus dem Bad?

Schwer. In der Wohnung geht’s. Im Auto ist es schlimmer, hab ich das Gefühl. Der größte Tipp ist einfach draußen alles ausziehen und versuchen nichts mit ins Auto oder die Wohnung zu nehmen und wenn, dann alles erst in der Dusche ausziehen.

Hast du schon Pläne was nach dem Profisport kommt?

Pläne hat man immer. Ob es wirklich so kommt, ist die Frage. Ich hab Sportmanagement im Bachelor studiert und mach gerade BWL im Master und würde ganz gerne in den Fußballbereich gehen. Ich bin großer Fußballfan und würde da einfach sehr sehr gerne arbeiten, weil ich es total interessant finde. Am liebsten im Bereich Teammanager, also gar nicht viel mit dem Geld oder den Spielerverträgen, sondern einer, der rund ums Team alles organisiert. Presse, Trainingszeiten, Trainingslager sowas alles. Am liebsten bei Eintracht Braunschweig.

Wer gewinnt die Liga der Männer?

Ich glaube es werden nicht Walkenhorst/Winter. Ich bin begeistern von Erdmann/Timmermann, aber Betzien/Westphal finde ich auch sehr stark. Ich sag Erdmann/Timmermann.
